A Legacy of Baking: From Generations Past to the Auckland Bakery Today
For over five generations, our family has lovingly passed down the art and passion of baking. What began as a dream in England became a journey of hope and opportunity when our great-great-grandfather set sail for New Zealand, carrying little more than determination, a deep love for baking, and his treasured recipe book. Those recipes became the foundation of a legacy that has continued to grow with each generation.
That legacy originally found a home in Broadwood, Northland supplying the wider Far North Area for many years. As the bakery passed down through the generations it made its way to the heart of Auckland where tradition, craftsmanship, and family values were woven into every loaf, cake, and pastry.
Growing up surrounded by the warmth and rhythm of her grandfather's Auckland Bakery - Debbie learned not only some of her grandfathers skills but also a deep appreciation for the history and heart behind every creation of which she has shared with her own daughters over the years.
Today, Debbie—the caker behind the current Auckland Bakery - IntheMix—proudly carries this heritage forward. With the knowledge and passion instilled in her from a young age at her grandfather’s beloved bakery, and armed with cherished family recipes, she continues to honour the past while creating beautiful, delicious moments for the community.
Through each bake, the family’s story lives on—rich in tradition, love, and a lifelong passion for sharing something special.

You can find us selling our baked goods at various 'Pop Up' sites around Auckland, at our bakery and from our wonderful stockists. We also cater for events, and can provide wholesale baked goods.
You are able to order our famous River Valley Deep Dish Pies, freshly made Ready Meals, Sweet Treats, Celebrations Cakes and more for pick up or delivery online.
All our products are provided to you fresh and made to order, ready for you to heat and enjoy. You can also freeze most of our meal options for future use.
